The TDC has been campaigning for recognition of male hormone problems across the world since 2003, mostly on the Internet.
In 2007, questions were asked on our behalf in the UK parliament about the problem and received what can be best described as a "brush off" from the incumbent Health Minister.
At the beginning of 2009 the campaign was taken to the public in conjunction with Testicular Cancer charities, Checkemlads and the "Testicle Tour" organised by awareness campaigners, Darren Couchman and Richard P Miller. I maintained a blog of my activities with my giant pink fluffy testicle throughout the year.
It was an honour indeeed to be selected as a delegate for the first Livestrong Global Cancer Summit in Dublin during August 2009, an event I attended with my "prop". I was fortunate enough to end up on stage telling my story at the end of the conference, which ensured increased awareness.
A campaign was also started on Facebook, which led to my story being published on Voices of Survivors, an excellent site for Cancer survivors.
2010 sees collaboration with Love Hope Strength, The Lance Armstrong Foundation and other organisations as the campaign for recognition gains strength.
