Hypogonadism is Bad Business.
In an ever competitive world, production per capita drives efficiency towards a flourishing economy. One of the main detractors from the bottom line is malaise amongst workers. Poor morale ensures a Poor profit. Persistent unspecified illness hits profit margins. Depressed employees underperform when compared to their happier peers.

If one takes the statistics from the Baltimore study of aging men and applies it to the working man, about 20% of the workforce between the ages of forty and sixty, have Hypogonadism. Given the effects of this problem, it is not rocket science to make the connection between Hypogonadism, employee performance, and the bottom line.

Opinion. The publication of the new guidelines highlights the Hypogonadism problem for many millions across the world. The impact of Hypogonadism on a patient's life varies, but is never positive. Irrespective of how the patient feels at diagnosis, the failure to treat the condition ensures endocrine imbalance, to the ultimate detriment of the patient.
