Is something stirring? The grapevine has been at work here just as we enter our second year of existence. I understand the current road-block in the UK, which is the existing NHS policy on Testosterone Deficiency, is about to receive a dust-up by the Society of Endocrinology. It is hoped the society demonstrates both awareness and courage in pointing the way forward and removing the myths surrounding this condition.
It has also come to my notice recently that the Irish Government has established a task force to tackle the Hypogonadism problem.
The Task Force has already issued an awareness leaflet.
Their latest .guidelines were published in May 2004. Although considered over-cautious and appearing to contain inaccuracies, it is a start on the road towards sensible, closely dosed, therapy using modern medicines.
The required "sea-change" in the UK, is upon us it seems. Soon, the rest of Europe will be better helped.

We were approached by the Andropause Society for the purpose of association. Regrettably our vigorous campaign is at odds with the needs of the society. Although we regret this, we underestand the situation and maintain our support for that fine organisation of brilliant minds, trusting one day, Malcolm Carruthers will receive the accolades he richly deserves, from all areas of society that have pilloried him continuously in the past. He is a great man, supported by great people.
