The TDC website has been recognised by the Wellcome Trust, one of the World’s largest bio-medical research charities as “a document important to our heritage”.

A request for the issuance of a copyright license was received, in order the site, or relevant parts of it, may be archived for researchers.

This two year pilot project will be retained in perpetuity, if proved successful. It is the TDC’s intent to maintain and improve the quality of information provided to date, in order to assist in the success of the project.

This important accreditation from the Wellcome Trust will assist us to persuade the powers that be of our case. This is outlined below.

  • It is in society’s interests to wipe the slate clean on the “Testosterone Taboo” and think again, in the light of new therapies and scientific discoveries.
  • There is powerful evidence to support the temporary use of corrective androgen therapy in the Obese and otherwise infirm, where applicable, in order to enhance recovery time, thus reducing hospital bed occupation and PCP pressures.
  • Routine testing of Estradiol, LH, FSH, Serum Testosterone, SHBG and Prolactin will provide earlier recognition of co-morbid issues, thus allowing faster recovery and better quality of life for the patient.
  • The health budget pressure on every country will be reduced, as a consequence of earlier intervention using hormone tests as a primary diagnostic tool.
  • General practitioners should be trained to interpret assay results of Serum Testosterone, LH and FSH in conjunction with each other, and to a much finer degree, to determine whether the Hypothalamic Pituitary axis, or the testicles are causing symptoms.
  • The adoption of such a course would reduce the anti-depressant dependency in society and increase the desire and ability for Obese people to take excercise.
  • This model fits entirely within the desire to ensure healthy ageing and more efficient workforces.
  • It is not a question of whether we can afford to deal with this problem, more a question of being unable to afford further procrastination.
